A walk through Inca history…

We begin our journey in the Inca capital of Cusco immersing ourselves in Inca history. After acclimatising to the high altitude, we will head towards the remote and rarely visited Sacred Valley. Salkantay Trek is fantastic culture immersing trekking challenge with incredible scenery This is a much better alternative to the often crowded Inca Trail, it is the most popular trek in the region after the Inca Trail and voted one of the Top 25 Treks in the World by National Geographic.

With much more spectacular views of stunning peaks and glaciers we trek over the Salkantay pass at 4600m, stopping at hot springs along the way to reach the Lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is the most famous and popular Inca archaeological ruin in the world, declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and new wonder of the world.

The combination of awe-inspiring mountain ranges, diverse flora and fauna, and rich cultural and archaeological sites is hard to beat. Completing the experience we will also visit the temple of the moon, or the fabulous Inca Bridge where our Salkantay trek draws to an end… an unforgettable experience.
